Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Light Filtering Shade?

A light filtering shade is a window treatment that has the ability to manipulate light coming in from outside to provide a softer glow, while keeping prying eyes at bay.

What blinds let light in but you can’t see in?

Light filtering blinds are specialized window treatments to let light in but block view from the outside, meaning you can’t see in.

Can you see through Light Filtering Roller Shades at Night?

No, you cannot see through Light Filtering Roller Shades at night or during the day. However, onlookers may make out diffused shadows of figures crossing in your room. For complete privacy or a room darkening effect, you should choose our blackout roller shades.

What is the difference between light filtering and sheer shades?

While both types of shades are made of similar materials, light filtering shades have more texture and denser weave to add a warm soft glow to your space throughout the day. On the other hand, sheer shades have a less thin, feathery texture to gently diffuse natural light coming in through your windows.
