Being unsure if 14% open solar shades really block 86% percent of the sun, I requested samples. They sent without charging me a cent. The result was as claimed (by the seller) and expected (by us). The actual product also performs the same. Would highly recommend these to anyone looking for that much sun protection and still lots of brightness in the room.
